As a play SQUARE ONE was originally workshopped in NY at the 42nd Street Theatre Workshop in 1999, then was adapted to a screenplay format.

The film shot digitally with SAG actors could be brought in on a SAG modified low budget for a below the line cost of $150,000, based on a twenty-four day shooting schedule and one week of rehearsals.

Michael Genovese has signed a letter of intent to play the role of Clide.

Victor Warren will direct.

Mark Mcginnis has also signed on as DP. Mark is a cinematographer with twenty years experience, in corporate, television and feature film photography. His work includes productions for the SFI-FI CHANNEL, NIKI, PARAMOUNT PICTURES, COLUMBIA PICTURES, TIM BURTON PRODUCTIONS, NEW LINE, WARNER BOTHERS, and DREAMWORKS. He has shot for directors such as Christopher Cleveland and Gus Van Sant. Some of his recent credits include ENDURANCE for PARAMOUNT PICTURES, VANISHING HIGWAYS for TNN and EARLY ANDVANTAGE for IMAGINE/PBS. His passion for filmmaking and his versatility in all formats make him a valuable asset for production quality.

Given the right tie in to the music industry the film lends itself to an opportunity to create a terrific music CD full of the sounds of today. Visually the style of the film is very MTV therefore lending itself to the possibility of selling the music rights then taking that money and making the movie.

We are currently seeking funding for this project. A script sample in Adobe Acrobat format can be downloaded here.
